Stockport Action for Voluntary Youth Supporting all aspects of voluntary youth!

Cinnamon Trust Dog Walkers:Cinnamon Trust provides long term care for pets whose owners have moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets or for those who can no longer give full care to their pets. The role will involve visiting owners at home and helping them to look after their pets, e.g. walking the dog. Make a difference doing what you love to do as a singer, musician, dancer or poet. We always need visiting entertainers to perform at our social groups across Stockport. We always need volunteers with talents or skills to help entertain and work with people with dementia and their carers at out social and support groups across Stockport. So if you have a special talent and would like to show it off, this opportunity might be for you! If you like talking to people, are patient and would like to be involved, then we would like to hear from you too.

Clough Farm is for the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention and, in particular to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such animals.

Farm Maintenance Handyperson role: 

This role will require proving water and food in the paddock and pond, letting the geese and ducks out and refreshing the water in the pond containers, letting the hens out, cleaning the paddock areas etc.

Small Farm Animal Person:

This role will require collecting the ponies back in from the field, feed the ponies, checking and mucking out the stables, preparing pig, horse and sheep feeds, check the pathways are clear, feeding the sheep, feeding the pigs, cleaning and preparing the stable areas etc.

Behind the Scenes Helper & Tutor Assistant, Northern Kids Theatre, Romiley. 16+ Volunteers are needed  any night of the week leading towards a show. Helpers are needed to assist in:·  Set building; Painting; making props and costumes.·  Help to prepare and operate lighting and sound · Stage management, scene shifting, general help backstage · Front of house duties: taking tickets, showing people to seats  Volunteers are also needed to assist with drama workshops

Youth Group Volunteer, ABC 16+ABC is a youth group for young people with disabilities. The sessions are fortnightly on Tuesday evenings from 7pm until 8.45pm (with setting up and clearing away time for volunteers).  Sessions include (PS2 and Wii), football table, arts and crafts, cooking and Knex/lego.Tues Evening 

  Assistant Youth Leader, St John Ambulance 18+Youth Leaders play a crucial part in the development of thousands of young people by broadening their horizons and offering them new activities within a safe environment.  You would help the CADETS (aged 10 - 18) to take part in a wide range of activities - including First Aid, outdoor pursuits and teambuilding exercises.Mon Evening
