Mayor endorsed Young Volunteer Certificate Scheme

To recognise the commitment that Young volunteers make in the community of Stockport, SAVY has been in touch with the Worshipful Mayor of Stockport to develop an endorsed certificate scheme for Young People age 14-25 yrs. The scheme is open all year round with no cut off dates and is not run on a competitive basis however please be aware that SAVY will obtain new certificates on in May/June 2012 following the election of the new Mayor to office and the signature will be amended accordingly. The scheme operates in the following way.. SAVY currently hold template certificates for the recognition of: 

· 25 hours volunteering

· 100 hours volunteering

· 150 hours volunteering      

· Going the extra mile. 

To register with the scheme either the lead volunteer or volunteer co-ordinator must complete the attactched form, once this is done we will issue you with certificate templates for you to issue in-house to your Young People.  Please note that SAVY will not be issuing these certificates directly to young volunteers and will not be taking requests for individual certificates.  For our own knowledge we will be in touch every now and again to ask how many certificates you have issued however we do not require you to provide us with names or details.

These certificates are officially endorsed so will provide the Young Person with an official thank you, they will also be really useful to the Young Person in their record of achievement, university applications, job applications and interviews and will be a great confidence boost.
