Stockport Action for Voluntary Youth Supporting all aspects of voluntary youth!

Background

Youth Action Stockport began in November 2006 with a grant from the national charity v (see later). The scheme was orginally set up to introduce volunteering opportunities to to marginalised Young People of Stockport. The project was a great success and ran alongside the traditional volunteering brokerage (placing volunteers in organisations) which the Stockport Volunteer Centre undertook and also included the accreditation for volunteering hours for volunteers aged between 16-25 years old.
